Room Reservations

The Library has several rooms that can be reserved. The rooms reserved by the LRC are listed below. Use EventManager for any room reservation request. For a list of events held in the LRC consult the master calendar in EventManager. Before reserving a room please review the Policies and Procedures for Requesting a Room in the LRC.

Policies and Procedures for Requesting a Room in the LRC

  • The time and date of your request must be during regular library hours. This includes the preparation time for the room. It should also include the preparation time for Facilities Management, Dining Services and/or other setup entities and cleanup. You are responsible for contacting these departments for set up.
  • The Library staff do not assist with the set up and running of the event, e.g. making photocopies, loaning supplies or equipment, tracking down equipment, meeting the caterers, etc. The requestor and their administrative unit are responsible for being familiar with the facility and for handling any special arrangements.
  • The individual requesting the room, and the event/group for which it is requested, must be affiliated with Georgetown College. i.e., campus activity/group and any professional group with which Georgetown College is affiliated.
  • Library rooms may NOT be used for an event for which admission is charged or sales solicited.
  • A request for a room is only a request, not a guarantee that you will have it. You will receive an email confirming or denying your reservation request.
  • Rooms are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Regularly scheduled classes and various College Executive committees have priority on scheduling.
  • Please e-mail room cancellations to [email protected] as soon as possible as there is a demand for the rooms.
  • If furniture is moved, it is the responsibility of the individual who requests the room to make sure that the room is returned to its original configuration.
  • If there are any special requests for the library staff, please let us know.
