In every residence hall, you will find a Residence Hall Coordinator (RHC) and Resident Assistant (RA) – these are student Residence Life staff members who are there to support making you feel more at home in your residence hall. They focus on creating an inclusive, vibrant and welcoming hall environment with programming and community activities to encourage you to get to know other students in your hall, and the upholding of College policy as outlined in the Student Handbook. With service leadership in mind, their goal is to build an engaging community to make your residence hall experience amazing, and truly be your home away from home!
On every floor, you'll be able to find an RA -- a student staff member who is there to help you feel more at home in your residence hall. They focus on creating a "living-learning" environment to encourage you to get to know other students on your floor. They help create cultural, educational, emotional, and spiritual growth amongst the community. Your RA is sincerely interested in your welfare and is willing to help if you ever need. Your RA also represents the College, so they will help to enforce any college policy and procedures.
You will find 1 RHC per building and their role is to work with your RA to build community. Your RHC is the person your RA goes to for help, ideas, and support. RHCs will also work towards building an engaging community to make your residence hall experience more than just "dorm life," but your HOME life.
